Honestly, the days of truly free, feature-rich charting tools seem numbered. TradingView used to be decent for free stuff, but even they’ve gotten aggressive about nudging you to pay for things like multiple overlays and custom indicators. I’ve seen some folks mention sites like TradingLite, but even they have pretty strict limits before paywalls hit. FreeStockCharts (TC2000) and Yahoo Finance let you do some basic MAs and overlays, but nothing advanced or smooth.
Frankly, the accuracy is there for casual TA, but if you’re doing anything consistently serious-like relying on complex overlays or volume profiles-you’ll quickly run into limits, lag, or annoying ads.
It boils down to time versus money: either you stitch stuff together with multiple free tools, or just pay the sub and get reliability and customization. Feels like the freemium squeeze is here to stay, unless someone has found a real diamond in the rough I’ve missed!
